What Gosar Believes In: Dismantling Social Security
What You Don’t Know Will Hurt You - And Paul Doesn't Even Know if Social Security is Constitutional.
Prescott, AZ: Paul Gosar’s dodging, evasions, and sudden shift in rhetoric on the future of Social Security is an ominous development for Arizona’s seniors. This program has given folks financial security and peace of mind for more than 75 years, and in this economic downturn it's more important than ever.
So what are Gosar's plans for its future? Despite his recent attempts to cover himself, enough comments have made it past his handlers to make his real views on Social Security clear:

Doesn't really sound like the act of someone who's committed to "protecting benefits," does it?
And for all his almost-too-urgent insistence that he wouldn't dream of privatizing Social Security, Paul’s been spending a lot of time lately behind closed doors with national Republicans who support giving seniors’ retirements over to Wall Street bankers.
What's more, Americans for Prosperity and 60 Plus - who are dedicated to privatization - are shipping truckloads of corporate special interest dollars into this district to get Gosar elected. That begs the question:
If Paul Gosar is against privatizing Social Security… why are all the privatizers working so hard for Paul Gosar? But even more than his plans to cut benefits or his questionable connections with champions of privatization, perhaps most alarming for anyone who plans to retire is that:

How can Paul question this critical program’s constitutionality and promise to “protect benefits” at the same time? Whatever his hacks post on his website - can this district afford a Congressman who wants to shut down Social Security entirely?
“Paul is making a blatant attempt to mislead Arizona’s seniors, but he has let the truth slip out enough for Arizona’s seniors to know this: Paul Gosar will work to end Social Security as we know it,” said Kirkpatrick campaign manager Carmen Gallus.
“His support for cutting benefits and his wink-and-nod relationship with those determined to tear out its heart are deeply troubling to Greater Arizona’s seniors. His implication that Social Security violates the U.S. Constitution is simply unbelievable - he owes us answers on that immediately."
