Kirkpatrick Announces Support of Veterans of Foreign Wars PAC

PRESCOTT, AZ – Following announcements of overwhelming support from Arizona’s Tribal [link] and law enforcement communities [link] and receiving the endorsement of the Arizona Republic [link], Ann Kirkpatrick today announced that she has earned the backing of the political action committee of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) – the Nation’s largest organization of combat veterans, with over 25,000 members in Arizona.

Ann has been working for years to ensure that our fighting men and women get the care and respect they deserve, and counts significant achievements for Veterans among her most important victories in Congress. She has previously been endorsed by Veterans’ Vision, an influential Veterans’ newspaper, along with Veterans throughout District One.

“I am truly honored to receive the support of so many of the men and women who have given so much for our country,” said Ann Kirkpatrick. “This tremendous support inspires me to keep fighting—to keep pushing Washington to keep its promises to our Veterans.”

Ann Kirkpatrick keeps a quotation on her desk in Washington that reads “Fight for Veterans with all your might – For they have already paid the price.”

“I’m proud to give Ann my strongest possible support for her distinguished record of serving Veterans like me,” said Senior Chief Bob Jones, a retired Naval serviceman and Veteran of the Vietnam War. “Ann has honored our service and sacrifice through her work to improve our access to health care, education and affordable housing. She is our steadfast ally, and I am grateful for her work.”

Background

A member of the Veterans’ Affairs committee and the daughter and niece of Veterans, Ann Kirkpatrick has fought throughout her first term in Congress to ensure that our fighting men and women get the benefits they have earned. Among her accomplishments for Veterans are:

•    Helping disabled Veterans and their survivors keep up with the rising cost of basic goods by passing the Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2024 into law
•    Addressing the unique health care needs of rural Veterans by pushing measures of the Rural Veterans Health Care Improvement Act into law
•    Successfully fighting an Administration proposal that would have charged Veterans’ personal insurance for treatment of service-related disabilities
•    Ending an unfair practice that punished Native American Veterans and their survivors for their service by denying them housing assistance for receiving too much in Veterans’ benefits
